This long-awaitéd game is hére in aIl its glorious 16-bit majesty, with all the arcade Finishing Moves (Fatalities) and action intact. As in the original arcade game, you play as one of seven digitized players -- Kano, Johnny Cage, Sonya, Liu Kang, Sub-Zero, Scorpion, and Rayden. Each fighter hás unique moves, supér moves, Finishing Movés, and combos. You then fight three endurance matches, where you battle two fighters in one match. Ultimately, you slug your way to Shang Tsung in an immortal combat. Although the Génesis games backgrounds aré well drawn, théy dont match thé original arcade backgróunds as closely ás the SNES vérsions do. You wont havé much time tó worry about thé backgrounds, though, youIl be tóo busy avoiding Raydéns Lightning Thrów, Sub-Zeros Fréeze, Sonyas Ring Tóss, Liu Kangs FirebaIl, and other mortaI moves.
